Sometimes an excavation icon appears above the chat, and the alliance chat shows a "Pirate Legacy" or "Alliance Excavation" message with coordinates. It means someone in the alliance got a special quest among their Falcon quests and shared it with everyone.
Where excavations come from
An excavation quest can drop at random for any alliance member among the Falcon quests (Falcon Tower). Open the Falcon quests and look for a quest with this icon. If there is one, tap it: the game takes you to the world map, to the excavation site.
There are two kinds of excavation:

The higher the quest level, the bigger the reward: for the crystal, from 4 to 19 Raven Essence and the same number of chests.
How to start and share
- Send any of your squads to the excavation site.
- Tap the "Share" icon in the excavation window and choose your alliance. A message with the coordinates appears in the alliance chat.
Every alliance member who dug for at least a second gets a small participation reward. You cannot claim the reward of another alliance's excavation.
How many people to keep on the dig
Digging speed grows with every digger, and not linearly: the speed equals the square of the number of people. Two dig 4 times faster than one, six dig 36 times faster (in the excavation window you see this as "Digging Speed: 3600% (6 people)"). A single player would dig for 2 hours.
Hence the author's advice: if you want as many alliance members as possible to get the participation reward, join the excavation and leave after a second. That way the excavation does not end before those who were late arrive. At the same time, always keep 3-4 people inside so the excavation does not stop altogether.
Reward for the first 10
The main moment is the end of the excavation. When the treasure is dug out, only the first 10 who manage to tap it get the big reward. Sometimes the reward drops doubled ("Lucky you! You've earned double rewards!").
Do not skip excavations, especially crystals: Raven Essence is needed for the Raven, and buying it is expensive.
How to get into the top 10
In an active alliance many people come to an excavation, and the reward is taken in a fraction of a second. The author's trick:
- A few seconds before the end, when the timer is already visible, tap the ship or the crystal so the excavation window opens.
- 2-3 seconds before the end, start tapping the center of the excavation quickly and without stopping.
- As soon as the timer ends, the reward is claimed at once.
Even in the author's alliance, where the reward is taken in fractions of a second, this trick often helps. By the author's observations, players on an emulator with a mouse click a fraction of a second faster than with a finger on a phone.
