Era of Revival: the full guide

Based on the video guide by v1ne1c · watch on YouTube (13:27)

Era of Revival is the first two-month season (56 days). Below is what appears in it and what to watch for from day one.

Era of Revival: season sections

1. Tavern and the Blessing Wheel

  • When the era starts, you can recruit Daskal and Red Lady in the Tavern. According to the author, the era does not start on all servers at once: the first 32 servers get it first, the next 32 get it 2 weeks later, and so on.
  • A fourth wheel appears - the Blessing Wheel with Marlena: besides Marlena shards, it has a Skill Badge Random Supply and an Epigraph Chest (UR). One spin costs 900 diamonds, 10 spins cost 9000. The author's opinion: too expensive for these odds, since by day 120 most players will have a 10★ Marlena anyway, and the chance at the Epigraph Chest is extremely small.

2. Era Competition and Eliminate Threats

Era Competition is the main contest of the season, running all 56 days. The kingdoms of one group (16 kingdoms) compete for two months for alliance rewards and kingdom rewards (to receive the rewards you need Sanctuary Lv.15). Points come from the Kingdom War: every placement of your alliance's players in the battle ranking earns points, and the winning side gets more points for the same placement than the losing side. So you need activity from the whole server to take as many high places as possible in every battle.

Era Competition: kingdom rewards

Eliminate Threats (7 days): for the era, the regular resource monsters and Elite Blight are replaced with seasonal ones (resource ones - Sculptor Blight, Painter Blight, Bard Blight; elite - Guard Blight). The ranking is based on the level of the strongest monster you defeated; at equal level, whoever killed it first ranks higher.

Eliminate Threats

You cannot just kill strong monsters: each has a RES threshold. The higher the monster's level, the more RES you need; if you do not have enough, the damage to the monster is cut heavily.

Bard Blight Lv.36: not enough RES

3. Lord Statue: RES and Specialty

A new building - the Lord Statue (the Specialty Hall window) with two tabs: Specialty and RES. Details are on the Lord Specialty page.

  • RES. RES EXP is accumulated by the building itself; you collect it like a regular resource and spend it on a RES level. How much EXP comes in per hour depends on your Specialty level.
  • Specialty. Two branches - Handyman (city growth) and Legion Commander (war); only one is active. You can switch at any time for a Specialty Reset Book; when you switch, learned skills are reset and the points are returned. Choose carefully at the start: there are few books, so you cannot keep switching.
  • Specialty level (up to 40) rises with Specialty EXP: monsters in the world, Alliance Competition chests, the Era Weekly Pass, the Era Covenant pass, and Kingdom War rewards.

Specialty Hall

Level Specialty as fast as you can: RES grows faster (which means higher-level monsters), and Specialty skills and Era Skills unlock sooner:

Lv. Era Skill
10 Free Relocate: one free Direct Relocate per day, does not stack
15 from day 8 of the era, Exclusive Weapon Omni Shards in the daily rewards of Survival Battle
20 Exclusive Weapon Omni Shards in the win-streak rewards of the Kingdom War
25 from day 8 of the era, in the VIP Shop
35 from day 8 of the era, in the Alliance Shop
40 from day 8 of the era, in the Sanctuary Shop

Era Skill

The author covers the Specialty branches and skill recommendations in a separate video. According to the author, at the end of the season RES is switched off and works again with the new era, and EXP beyond the maximum Specialty level is turned into an item that can raise your Specialty in the next era.

4. Hero Awaken and passes

Marlena (from day 1), Cynthia (from day 15) and Annie (from day 29) get Awaken. Awaken unlocks at 10★ for 50 Marlena Awaken Shards; after that the levels are raised with the same shards or with Hero Awaken Omni Shards. Regular hero shards do not work for Awaken. Awaken raises stats and the maximum skill level, gives old skills new mechanics, and adds damage resistance.

Marlena's Awaken

Where to get them:

  • Marlena Awaken Shards - the Awaken Pass (starts with the era), and from week 2 of the era, according to the author, in the Daily Offer, next to hero shards.
  • Hero Awaken Omni Shards - the Honor Shop, the Expedition Shop, and, according to the author, phases 6 and 9 of the Alliance Competition rewards.

Two more paid passes:

  • Era Covenant - a long pass for the whole season with a lot of Specialty EXP. The author considers it a decent long-term investment.
  • Era Weekly Pass - a lot of Specialty EXP, +250 era RES and +5% march speed. A good buy, but not required.

5. Era Bonus and shops

Era Bonus - the capital skin and the heroes in your squad give bonuses against monsters:

what bonus
capital skin Greenery +100 RES
Claire, Marlena, Cynthia, Annie +5% damage to monsters for each
Daskal, Louis, Ulfrid -5% damage taken from monsters for each

Era Bonus

Two new shops:

  • Appearance Shop - the Greenery skin (permanent) for 10,000 Era Skin Coins. The coins come only in a paid pack: 4 packs of 9999 bills.
  • Era Shop - for Era Medals handed out at the end of the season: Gear Blueprint (MR), Beacon of the Era, Specialty Reset Book, Skill Reset Book, Specialty Skill Point. The Beacon of the Era is a curio that, besides its main stats, gives CMD (like the survivor Elaine), and so morale. The author advises taking only Gear Blueprints (MR) here, to raise items to 5★; the rest is not needed.

6. Exclusive Weapons and Claire's ascension

From week 2 (day 8) the first Exclusive Weapon comes out - the Crimson Greatsword for Daskal, later the Thorn Shackles for Louis (day 22) and the Wolven Claw for Ulfrid (day 36). A weapon is unlocked with shards of its own weapon (Crimson Greatsword Shard), and then raised with the same shards or with Exclusive Weapon Omni Shards, like a hero's stars. It is separate equipment: it does not replace the hero's regular weapon and works together with it.

★ what the Crimson Greatsword gives
4 Battle Will: extra damage increases to 300%
6 Resolute Fight: the support hero gets a shield when HP is below 50%
8 Deadly Pierce: healing effectiveness increases to 400%
10 Bloodshed Defense (ultimate skill): shield strength +30%

At 5★, 7★ and 9★ the bonuses are -10% energy damage taken, -10% physical damage taken and +10% damage dealt.

Crimson Greatsword

Exclusive Weapon Omni Shards, besides paid offers: the Honor Shop (the author does not recommend it), the daily rewards of Survival Battle, the win-streak rewards of the Kingdom War, the VIP Shop, the Alliance Shop and the Sanctuary Shop - through Era Skills (see the table above). One more source is the Watchtower of the Expedition: its maximum is raised to Lv.60, and the chests of floors 50+ can contain Exclusive Weapon Omni Shards.

Hero Ascension. From week 2, Claire can be ascended to UR for free - with Claire's Advanced Mark, given in the achievements for RES level. You need a 10★ Claire. After the ascension:

  • stars reset to 6★, skills are zeroed, the hero's level and gear stay;
  • Claire leaves the Hall of Honor; Skill Badges and shards invested in the Hall of Honor are returned by mail;
  • stars are then raised with Claire shards or SR Hero Omni Shards, but at twice the cost.

After the ascension Claire's skills hit almost twice as hard, but in the author's opinion she is still a PvE hero: two of her skills are tuned for monsters. The author assumes that over time Ash and Stellar will get the ascension too.

The era also raised the cap on achievements for damage to the Demon King Blight and the level of the Cheese Trap.

7. Soldier's Rest

A new building: some of the soldiers who fell in battle go to the Soldier's Rest, from where they can be recruited back into the Barracks. After recruiting you have to wait for recovery to finish; alliance members can help shorten it.

Awaken and Exclusive Weapons stay with your heroes after the era ends.
