Survival Battle runs every day from the very start of the game (according to the author - from day 2 of the server) and helps you spend resources sensibly through the day. This guide is mainly for newcomers.
1. How the event works
- The day is split into 6 rounds of 4 hours, each with its own quest theme; one theme repeats twice a day. Check which round is when in the Calendar (server time) to plan your day.
- Each round has 4 point milestones. Milestones give rewards and Survival Seals: 1 + 1 + 2 + 2, so 6 for a completed round.
- Seals open daily chests: at 2, 8 and 18 seals. Collect the 18-seal chest every day: it contains UR Hero Omni Shards.
| seals | chest |
|---|---|
| 2 | 2 SSR Hero Omni Shard, 1 Recruit Ticket, 50 diamonds |
| 8 | 5 SSR Hero Omni Shard, 3 Recruit Tickets, 100 diamonds |
| 18 | 2 UR Hero Omni Shard, 6 Recruit Tickets, 2 × 100 diamonds |
In the Era of Revival the Era Skill at Specialty Lv.15 adds one more Exclusive Weapon Omni Shard to the 18-seal chest.

After 18 seals, do not stop: milestones keep giving rewards, and you can compete for the daily ranking. Every day at 00:00 the game picks a group of 12-20 players with a similar Sanctuary level; the higher the level, the better the milestone rewards. 1st place in the ranking also gives a UR Hero Omni Shard and a Curio Chest (SSR), which is very useful early on. During the Kingdom War, 1st place in the event also brings points for the whole server.
You can close all milestones of any round by buying packs with diamonds (+30 points for each diamond in the pack).
2. Train Soldiers
Points come for starting troop training and upgrades (the higher the soldier level, the more points) and for training speedups (+10 per 1 minute). Collecting already trained troops from the Training Grounds gives no points.

Early on, full Barracks get in the way. Options:
- raise the Barracks level and research its expansion - the author does not advise getting carried away: early on it is more important to raise the Training Grounds faster, and everything needed for it;
- lose troops: put them on a resource tile and ask a strong player to kill them (the author does not recommend burning your own castle);
- Cheese Trap: early on troops die well in it, join every Rally, even with your second and third weak squads.
You cannot dismiss troops. Do not heal troops after every fight: let the Infirmary fill up, and heal as many as you need for a war event.
The author's Training Grounds layout for the late stage: one Training Grounds at max level, one at the level below, and two at two levels below the max. In the two lowest ones you set training of the lowest level, in the max one - max level, and in the second one you upgrade weak troops once and set training. This closes the round fast, and the stocked troops of the second-to-last level are cheaply upgraded to the last level on day 5 of the Alliance Competition, bringing a lot of points. That is why you train and upgrade troops only at the start of this round.
3. Build Territory and Tech
Build Territory: points for construction speedups (+10 per 1 minute) and for building Might growth (+1 per point).
The author's secret for the start: when construction is finished, a hammer appears above the building. The building's Might counts only after you tap it. So during the day you can finish several buildings without tapping the hammers, and at the start of the round just collect them and get the points at once. Late in the game, when construction takes days, spending a day or two of speedups is enough. Move all of the day's construction to the start of this round.

Tech: points for research speedups (+10 per 1 minute) and for Tech Might growth (+1). It is the same as with construction: during the day start one or two heavy researches (two if you bought the 2nd Lab), and collect them at the start of the round. At the start: collect, start the next one, wait for alliance help, finish the rest with speedups - and so on in a circle, until all 4 milestones are closed. Late in the game - a couple of days of speedups.
4. Enhance Raven
Points for Raven Fruit spent on upgrading the Raven (+1 per every 10) and for Stamina spent (+100 per 1 Stamina). Early on, upgrade the Raven only in this round. Make up the missing points with Stamina: Rallies on Elite Blight, and if you are short on time - solo marches on resource monsters (faster, but the reward is worse).

Do not spend Stamina from your stock of stored items. The author's order: first the Stamina saved up during the day, then the free Stamina from the game, then Stamina bought with diamonds (150 and, by the author's words, 200), and only if that is not enough - a little from the stock. Stamina is an expensive resource, and other events need it more.

5. Enhance Heroes
Points for recruiting heroes in the Tavern (+400 each) and for Antidote spent on hero levels (+1 per every 1950). For all 4 milestones 30 Recruit Tickets are enough (30 × 400 = 12,000). Save Tickets and Antidote all day and spend them in this round. The author keeps 20 Tickets for the next day just in case, if there is not enough Antidote.

6. The link with the Alliance Competition
When the Alliance Competition opens on your server, the Competition's daily quests always match one of the Survival Battle rounds. The main goal is to invest the maximum only in the round matching the Competition's theme of the day, and in the other rounds close the milestones with the minimum.
| Competition day | theme | what to do |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Stamina, Raven, Antidote, gathering | save Raven Fruit and stored items all week, spend them in the Enhance Raven round; on other days close the Raven round only with Stamina |
| Tuesday | construction | keep the heaviest buildings for this day; on other days - speedups and small buildings |
| Wednesday | Tech | save heavy researches and Study Scrolls, start them in the Tech round |
| Thursday | heroes | save Recruit Tickets, Antidote, Skill Badges and shards for stars; stars and badges can be spent from the morning (the Battle does not count them), tickets and Antidote - in the Enhance Heroes round |
| Friday | troops | in the Train Soldiers round, upgrade the stocked second-to-last level to the max |

Do not listen to advice to skip Survival Battle entirely and save everything for the Competition: you will fall behind in growth and lose many rewards. At the minimum, close all milestones and collect the rewards, but there is no need to chase the ranking after the Competition starts.
