Heroes, days 32-99: best lineups

Based on the video guide by v1ne1c · watch on YouTube (15:11)

The final part of the series on heroes by the day they appear on the server: heroes from day 32 to day 99, the choice of faction and the final lineups. The beginning is days 1-7 and days 8-31.

day hero faction, role
36 Red Lady Ranger, DPS
43 Ulfrid Warlock, Tank
57 Zoya Warrior, DPS
64 Louis Ranger, Tank
71 Bell Ranger, Support
85 Billy Warlock, Tank
99 Nicole Warlock, Support

They all come only for money: in the Hero Pass or in daily offers. But there is something important here for F2P too.

F2P: the Tavern and the final lineup

According to the author, on server day 66 Cynthia, Shadow, Annie, Joker and Marlena will be added to the Tavern next to Arthur and Harper. The author does not advise rushing to put all your UR Hero Omni Shards into any of them: after day 120, with the first season of the Era of Revival, Daskal and Red Lady will be added to the Tavern.

The best final F2P lineup, in the author's opinion:

position hero why
Tank Arthur main tank since day one
Tank Daskal shields for the team and self-heal
DPS Marlena main damage
Support Harper ATK and damage buffs for Warriors
DPS Red Lady stuns the enemies with the highest ATK

When you have Marlena at 10 stars and Arthur and Harper at 8, there are two paths:

  1. Simpler: spend the UR Omni Shards on Cynthia right away to get the second UR DPS faster, then on Shadow - and complete a full UR lineup.
  2. Longer: bring Arthur and Harper to 10 stars too and save UR Omni Shards and Recruit Tickets for Daskal and Red Lady. For a few months you will have to play with a frankly weak lineup, but in the long run the squad is stronger.

For a pure F2P the author would choose the second path. Especially with the arrival of epigraphs (day 78): they strengthen four strong Warriors, not three as in the Cynthia and Shadow variant. More about them in the guide Raven Epigraphs.

Spenders: all UR heroes and three squads

The rule for anyone who invests at least a little: buy every UR hero in the Hero Pass as soon as they are released. There are 15 UR heroes in the game, 5 per faction. Whether to level them all at once or only the faction you started with is decided by your budget.

The end goal is one: three leveled squads. There is still only one main squad, but the second and third full lineups are needed:

  • in the Triangular Arena, where three squads play at once;
  • in battle events where you can attack several targets;
  • to clear all difficulty levels of the Expedition Battle with maximum rewards;
  • to deal maximum damage to every Demon King and help the server in the Kingdom War;
  • a Sanctuary with three top squads on defense is very hard to break.

Which faction to build first

There is no single strongest faction. Each takes 20% less damage from one of the other two, and at equal upgrades:

  • Rangers easily kill Warriors;
  • Warlocks kill Rangers;
  • well-upgraded Warriors can kill equal Warlocks.

The right question is which lineup to build first:

  • Warriors are the easiest at the start and up to the middle of the game (roughly day 80). Their lineup comes out first, levels faster and cheaper, and you quickly start winning events thanks to fast upgrades of all bonuses.
  • Rangers gain more and more of an advantage over Warriors from the middle of the game. By the time the last Ranger is released, Warriors can no longer compete with them even with stronger upgrades.
  • Warlocks start to dominate only when their last hero arrives on day 99.
budget path
F2P and minimal spend Warriors from the start, Rangers in the distant future (buying heroes in daily offers for a minimal spend)
mid spender Rangers right away, Warlocks in the future
no limits the best lineup at every stage - see the breakdown below

After day 31 the best lineup is: Arthur, Daskal, Marlena, Harper, Cynthia - 4 Warriors + 1, Faction Bonus +15%.

Days 36-57: Red Lady, Ulfrid, Zoya

Red Lady (day 36) is the second DPS of the Rangers. The main thing about her is the ultimate Crimson Rose: with a 35% chance it stuns the two enemies with the highest ATK for 5s, from 6 stars - three. The main DPS at this stage is Marlena, especially with two Harper buffs and the +15% bonus, so Lady replaces Cynthia: Marlena calmly finishes off the stunned enemies.

Red Lady: Crimson Rose

  • Top players: level to the maximum.
  • Small spend: buy her even if you will not level her yet. Rangers are stronger than Warriors in the future, but they level slower and cost more. If you invest the minimum and play Warriors - buy, put aside and keep Cynthia or Claire in the lineup.

Important about Harper: once Marlena has reached 10 stars, be sure to raise Harper to 8 stars. That unlocks the fifth skill Tenacity: +20% ATK, HP and DEF and +10% skill cooldown speed. According to the author's observation, from 8 stars his War Flute Sound triggers before Marlena's ultimate, not after, and she deals much more damage.

Harper: Tenacity

Day 36 lineup: Arthur, Daskal, Marlena, Harper, Red Lady.

Ulfrid (day 43) is the Warlock tank. The author believes that at the very late stages he is the one who will take Warlocks to the top, once he gets the best items. His main plus is the active skill Lunar Howl: Ulfrid goes berserk and reflects part of the damage he takes back at the attacker. Standing opposite him, Marlena kills herself, sometimes even before her ultimate. But to open up he has to live a long time, and that needs very good items.

Ulfrid: Lunar Howl

Buying him is a must, whether to level him is up to you. He does not make the main squad yet, but in battle events where several lineups are needed he does well. For example, if you leveled these heroes: Shadow, Ulfrid, Cynthia, Annie, Joker. It is worse than the main squad because of the weak Warlock DPS, but stronger than most players without a good spend have, and also with the +10% bonus for 3 + 2. With a small spend - buy and put aside until the deep late game. The main lineup does not change.

Zoya (day 57) is the fifth Warrior and the second DPS, the first full UR lineup. Her active skill Mountain God Wrath creates a whirlwind, and enemies in it take 20% more Energy DMG - Marlena hits them even harder. The ultimate Forest Hunter, under her passive skill and Harper's buffs, sometimes deals damage not much below Marlena herself.

Zoya: Mountain God Wrath

A must-buy for the minimal spend, for those who take the easy Warrior path. For top players - full leveling and a place in the core instead of Red Lady.

position full Warrior lineup (day 57)
Tank Arthur
Tank Daskal
DPS Marlena
Support Harper
DPS Zoya

Days 64-71: Louis and Bell

Louis (day 64) is the second tank of the Rangers and the toughest tank in the game: at 10 stars it is almost impossible to kill him.

  • The passive Indomitable Spirit reduces all damage taken, and on a lethal hit once leaves Louis at 1 HP for 2s (at 4, 9 and 10 stars - a second longer, up to 5s).
  • The ultimate Cross Whip heals him for 150% of ATK and reduces damage taken for 5s, from 6 stars - for all allies.

Louis: Indomitable Spirit

For those who by this day have all Rangers at 10 stars, the lineup is: Louis, Shadow, Cynthia, Harper, Red Lady. 90% of players, especially with a minimal spend, will be playing a full Warrior lineup by this day, and Rangers take 20% less damage from Warriors - with this lineup you dominate heavily. Without such investment - still buy and keep in reserve.

Bell (day 71) is the best support in the game and the second full lineup, Harper's counterpart for Rangers. The ultimate Inspiration raises ATK of the two allies with the highest ATK, the passive Battle Anthem - ATK of all Rangers. The active Healing Sound heals the ally with the lowest HP roughly every 5s. The healing is based on ATK, as with Daskal and Louis.

Bell: Healing Sound

With a good spend the main squad is now the full Ranger lineup, and it dominates the full Warrior lineup very hard. Warriors move to the second slot.

position full Ranger lineup (day 71)
Tank Louis
Tank Shadow
DPS Cynthia
Support Bell
DPS Red Lady

With a small spend and the Warrior path, Bell still needs to be bought and put aside until you finish the Warriors and move on to the Rangers.

Days 85-99: Billy and Nicole

Billy (day 85) is the Warlock tank. His ultimate Truth and Lies, besides area damage, gives the three allies with the highest ATK a 70% chance of stun immunity (from 6 stars - 100%). That is why Warlocks are an excellent counter to Rangers, especially since Warlocks already take 20% less damage from Rangers. The passive Puppet reduces incoming damage, and the whole team becomes very tough. But the Warlocks' weakness is the same - weak DPS.

Billy: Truth and Lies

Nicole (day 99) is the Warlock support, the last hero at the time of recording. She changes everything:

  • The active Heartwarming Flame heals two allies with the lowest HP (Bell heals one), the healing is also based on ATK.
  • The ultimate Inferno Array hits all enemies at once, so Nicole is both support and DPS - this makes up for the weak Warlock DPS. Targets under Burn, which the Warlock DPS apply, take even more damage.
  • The passive skill is weak: up to +9% ATK and an attack speed boost for Warlocks.

Nicole: Heartwarming Flame

Warlocks win thanks to effectively three DPS and some of the sturdiest tanks in the game with huge damage reduction. With top items: Ulfrid's damage reflection, Billy's stun immunity, back-row damage from the DPS and Nicole's big damage to burning targets. The faction becomes maximally effective against Rangers and creates big problems for Warriors.

Summary: paths of development

Small spend - two good paths:

  1. Easy start and hard middle: Warriors from the start - Arthur, Daskal, Marlena, Harper, Zoya, and only then Rangers - Louis, Shadow, Cynthia, Bell, Red Lady.
  2. The author's recommendation: the hardest start, but Rangers right away, and then a switch to Warlocks.

Top players: the goal from the start is to quickly build the Rangers (Louis, Shadow, Cynthia, Bell, Red Lady), then quickly switch to Warlocks.

F2P: the strongest lineup is Arthur, Daskal, Marlena, Harper, Red Lady. Or a simpler path: Arthur, Shadow, Marlena, Harper, Cynthia.

About mixed lineups in the late stages: the author considers them useless. With epigraphs and hero awakening, squads of five heroes of one faction get huge bonuses: awakening greatly raises the DPS damage for heroes of its faction in the team, and all four epigraphs of one faction give bonuses to the whole lineup, not to individual heroes.
